Hey, just checking in while the guys are not here and the girls are watching Animal Planet.

Three cheers for Cambria and Montana!!! Cambria took 1st place in her class spelling bee and Montana took 2nd in his class spelling bee. They each got an engraved medal and a certificate and they will compete against each other on Fri in the All School Spelling Bee.

C framed in the rest of the window openings in the new dining room today. Now we need to order the windows. I believe the electricity will be moved for good tomorrow.

I'm really glad that Grandpa and Great Great Grandpa were record keepers. It's amazing how much you can learn even from receipts and other seemingly insignificant pieces of paper. Guess I know where I might have gotten my penchant for keeping stuff and family history/stories.

Wendy-I don't envy you having to move everything again. But at least it's to a bigger place and BACK HOME!! Probably makes the task a bit easier to do.

Karla-I downloaded a bunch of freebie kits and it was so fun to 'unzip' them. I haven't done anything with them yet, but I have ideas. Talked to Jordan tonight and we were discussing his High School graduation announcements. We did not buy the traditional school ones and plan on making our own. We thought that just doing a 4"x6" design and printing them up as 4x6 photos might be an easy way to do it. I'll let him do the graphic design part...He actually filled out his papers tonight for an Eagle project. I have to admit that I was flabbergasted. His project is to make some new easels for our ward meetinghouse. The ones we have are ancient and there aren't very many of them. I think Bishop George helped him with that idea. Crossing my fingers that it gets approved. Send good thoughts his way. He had an interesting weekend last week. Twice he stayed out past his curfew and thankfully C was able to finally get him to talk about what's going on in his life. I just wanted to throttle him. Anyhoo, I guess he has finally found a group of friends to hang out with and finally feels like he fits in somewhere and belongs. He has had the problem of people thinking he's stuck-up and arrogant because he didn't talk alot or initiate conversation. HHHhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmm, wonder why that sounds familiar? I guess he was just having so much fun fitting in and being with people that he didn't want to leave. But I'm glad he has friends. It's a group of kids from A Capella, about 8 or 9 of them. One of them, Merinda, came over on Sunday to bring him a paper she had critiqued for English and to talk. She was very nice, cute and friendly. She is doing High School and Hair school, so he had her cut his hair last week. Hoping I can meet more of them at some point in the future. I was wondering about having a party for him for his 18th birthday. Can't get him to committ to it yet.

Well, guess I've rambled enough, I need to go get the girls to bed.

Love ya,
Have wonderful Thursday!
