Happy New Year

Monday, January 01, 2007

It has surely been a busy day. I forget that it is a holiday and I should be lazy. I finished the painting in the girl bathroom, then after lunch Wendy and Ben came up and we wondered around the property for awhile. Karla and Jim came over and we just visited. While Karl was at the ranch doing chores, Ben started putting in the new bathroom lights, and towel racks. Karl came home and they also put in the new mirror. It is looking good. I need to do something about the curtains in my bedroom, but at least it is clean. I am a little disappointed in my quilt but maybe when it is quilted it will look better. I wish it were a little larger, so I may need to add another row of fabric around the outside edge, so that when it hangs over the bed, it will go all the way to the bed skirt. (Always something)
Wendy put together the pictures frames etc. and hung them on the family room wall. They are really cute. I need 6 more dark frames and new pictures. Some of the pictures are a little old.
Kassie, I actually wrote in the little journal for you yesterday. It was fun. I plan to do one each Sunday. Also, one of the games was left here. Mario Golf. It was stuck in the Video slot of the small tv. I'll bring it or send it next time someone comes that way.
Well, I think that Karla and I are going to go to the shop tomorrow and do a quartlerly report for John, then we need to meet with Daniel Anderson and get the Bill of Sale taken care of. There will be quite a bit of work for me, (besides the sewing part) when I get back in there. I want to lighten it up a bit by putting curtains on the bottom half of the windows so I can see out and light can come in. I need to repaint the ceiling in the show room, or replace the tile. I think I will talk to Aces & 8"s about putting in a hung ceiling and then I can trade them services. They get hats quite often.

So much for my nonsense. Talk to you later. Love Mom
