I hate being sick!

Tuesday, March 06, 2007

Well, we've all been sick with strep. I finally feel as though I'm back among the living today. Sort of. I think I'll go climb back in bed as soon as work is done, though.

I've had a difficult week. There are problems on the Eberling side that are really bothering me. I don't know how this stuff happens, but I know it does and I am so scared to have it hit this close to home. My greatest fear in life is for Jim to find me lacking and leave me for someone else. My heart is breaking for my little bro-in-law right now. I wish I could turn the clock back and make it stop or go away, but I can't.

I am also so greatful for priesthood blessings. On Saturday night, Allie just couldn't quit coughing. Jim was out of town so I called Dad to come and give her a blessing. Dad called my home teacher (Ben! hehe) who didn't answer his phone to come and help. So, Dad called Charlie Tracy. He was out nursemaiding his heifer cows. So, they came over and I had them call Bruce Adams. He's still Mom & Dad's home teacher and was my hometeacher there for years. Besides, he was just across the road. So, he came over. Right after he got there, Charlie showed up. So, with lots of good hands, Allie and I were given priesthood blessings to heal. Ben showed up later with help of his own in the form of prescription cough syrup for Allie. Sorry, Wendy, we've used quite a bit of your stash!! But, it was a God send. She was finally able to sleep through the night and get some much needed rest. Me too!

Training was boring as usual. I went and hung out at the Welch compound for a few hours. The first hour I watched Jordan play a racing game on the computer while I waited for Kassie & Curtis to come back. They didn't know I was coming over, so they had gone shopping. The next night I laid in my motel room and moaned in agony because I thought my head was going to explode. Stupid sinus infections!! So, Friday I went in to the dr and got a huge ole shot of penicillin in the hiney. Allie & Peyton had their shots of it earlier in the week.

Jim went to Vegas over the weekend to help his little brother put the tranny in his truck, again, but the stupid company didn't ship it right so, it arrived in Vegas this morning, 2 days after Jim came home. Regardless, Justin needed Jim to be there, tranny or no, and I'd be happy to send him back down for a while if he needs the help.

I'm really struggling on a lot of fronts right now. I cancelled my Weightwatchers today. No point paying for it if I am not going to use it. I'm struggling with trying to keep a clean house. Jim and the kids help a lot here, but I have to ask for the help. They don't balk when I ask, I just feel guilty asking.

Peyton got a bronze medal at his wrestling tournament Saturday. I'll post a picture later. It's cute. He did really good, was winning on points until he tripped and landed on his back. The other kid just fell on him and Peyton threw his arms out to the side and just laid there. Didn't even try to roll over or get out. Pinned him. The second match, the kid grabbed Peyton's legs right off the back and had him pinned in about 5 seconds. Oh well, next week we'll try again!

I have to get back to work. There are some serious piles on my desk after being gone for a week.
Later!
