Recap of today's Primary Program in Sacrament Meeting!!

Well, you know you haven't grown up enough when your kids can still embarrass the heck out of ya in church. Today was the primary program and both kids had their parts memorized really well. We were early, I thought--Piece of cake!! Whatever!!

They had a small riser in front of the podium for the two youngest classes to sit on. Peyton gets up there and DOES NOT want to sit by the girls. He gets mad and finally they solved the problem by letting him scoot his chair closer to the front so he's not right by the girls.

Then, when it's his turn to say his part, he walks up to the podium, steps on the stool and says in a nice clear voice, "Jesus Christ is our Savior." Then he stepped of the stool. I breathed a sigh of relief. Perfect!!

Then, as he's walking across the stand toward the stairs, he pumps his arm in the air like someone trying to make a trucker honk and says loud enough for the entire congregation to hear, "Yes!"

Ok, I wanted to die there. But it got better. He stepped off the first step and then jumped over the last two and while in the air yelled "Woo!" He was so proud of himself for saying his part right and everything. But, Jim and I were a bit mortified. I mean, really. How many parents have had their kids do a victory leap in Sacrament meeting for saying their part correctly?

I must say, many people mentioned it to us after Sacrament meeting and told us it was so cute. A few even mentioned that we need to be so careful to not crush that spirit. It's rare. Anyway, that was our fun day at church.

Last night Jim shot a 4 point bull. But, it was too dark to follow the blood trail and their flashlights weren't charged up very well and they had to leave him. They went back out today to see if they could track the blood trail and find him. They weren't worried about other hunters finding him and taking him because he was on Dad's Dry Valley land. Hopefully, he didn't make it over into BLM or something like that. Jim was so dissappointed.

Well, I'm gonna go now--looks like the Fall Festival was fun.
Later--love ya
Karla

I can just see the little grin on his cute face. You know you've joined the ranks of true motherhood when your child embarrasses you in church. I have heard that I announced to everyone that Mom went pee pee too! Don't really remember doing it, but she swears I did.
