It's Done

My house is finished. The only thing left is some small touch up paint on the walls where things got bumped or dinged. I sign my life away today. It's beautiful, exciting, and scary as heck. Jim and his dad & brother have been working like crazy on the landscaping. They have moved more dirt and rocks than I even want to think about. I'm so glad he's willing to do it though, because if it were up to me, it would not be good.

I spent 2 hours helping the kids with homework last night. I'm never going to get time to get moved, get Christmas shopping done, clean this house--But, I'm going to have a brand new home with a kickin' view.

This isn't the view--I took this on my way to Bluff Friday. Not a bit of photoshopping done on this one. That's what it really looked like. This picture has nothing to do with this post, but I had to put it in.

Allie got a 60% on her most recent math test. WTH??? She's smart, she can do so much better than that. She doesn't understand measurments--standard vs metric and how 100 centimeters equals 1 meter. I have scoured the web for kid sites that help teach this stuff or will quiz them on it or have printout guides or something. I can't find anything. If you know of any--please let me know. This is one of the rare times that Google has truly dissappointed me.

Oh, have I ever mentioned how much I love the movie, "Oh, Brother! Where Art Thou?" I watched it again the other night and seriously giggled like mad. "Say, any you boys smittys? If not, were any of you trained in the metallurgic arts before....." I love the verbose dialoge. "Well!, ain't this place a geographical oddity? Two weeks from everywhere!" That's how living in Cello feels.

More random crap--I think it's funny that the NY Giants Plaxico Burress shot himself in the leg. Honorable Mention for the Darwin awards for sure.

Random crap splattering--WTG Saxby Chambliss!!! No filibuster majority for the Demoncrats, er, I mean, Democrats. And seriously, people actually voted for Al Franken--Stewart Smalley for crying out loud!!! I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it! people like me!! How many times has that mental degenerate said that to himself in the last month. Daily Affirmations, indeed!

House looks great! Inside and out! I guess I should not be surprised that Jim has already started on the landscaping. Lucky you.

Are you moving boxes and stuff over yet? Good luck and have fun, hopefully it's the last time you'll ever have to move.
