STACY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see your name up there! Does that mean you created a Google account and can post again now? I hope so, we've missed hearing from you!

C ya!

Hey, It's Monday Again!

Just a quick check in while I wait for the hamburger to finish thawing out so I can make the meatloaf.

Nicole had her twins yesterday at about 12:30. It all went smoothly and they look great. Eli came first and he was 7 lb 10 oz (Yikes) and Nash was second and he was 6 lb even. Still not sure whether they are fraternal or identical. Kyle said he thought they weren't identical but I talked to Donna after she visited Nicole at the hospital last night and she thought they looked the same other than size.....so who knows. I haven't seen them yet but I saw a pic on Donna's camera. They both have dark hair, not a ton, and Nicole looks great. I guess when you only gain 20 lbs and almost 14 of that is baby, you can't help but look good when it's over.

Richard and Donna and family were in town to ski. Guess it's their kids Spring Break. So we all got together at Nate's last night for dessert. It was good to see their family again, we see them so rarely. Jordan took his friend, Tara, too. She's really a nice girl. Hope we didn't overwhelm her.

Well, better go check that ground beef or it will be midnight before we eat. I dont' know why I didn't think to get it out this morning. I made my menu last week, so I knew what we were having. Poor excuse for a brain!

long time no talk

Saturday, March 31, 2007

It looks like the last blog was tuesday, so we are all very busy or we think we are. I had a very busy day today. I turned on my machine about 8 o'clock, turned the tv up at ten so I could watch conference, then got my knitting. I sewed up four easter baskets on my machine while watching conference and knitting. Each basket takes about 2 hours, so I finished up just at 4 o'clock. Karl was on a mule ride with Paul Barr, Everyone else was in Cortez. I grabbed some Taco Time food and noon, a new diet and kept on going. I did cook supper tonight. Tilly and Laila ate with us.

The final four game is on, but Florida is way ahead of UCLA. Makes you wonder if some of them will be in the NBA next year. I guess they will.

The McArthurs plan to take over on May 1st. I will work with them through may and June. They already have the money and everything. Tim gave his 2 week notice on Friday, then they are going somewhere the last week of April. They have been coming to the store after school to get started on the learning. I think they will do ok. They are nice people.

I wanted to four wheel today, but it is still a little muddy. It is nice to get home from the store by just after 5 and be able to hop on the wheeler for a quick ride.

We will see Stacy and family on Wednesday, and Kassie and kids on the 16th or so. Hope you are all doing well, and we love you much...Mom

LOL!!!!!

Karla, you crack me up! I had to read your entry to Jordan cause he wanted to know why I was laughing. Sorry you have such bright co-workers. I know some of my co-workers aren't very bright either, but that could be because they are under the age of 10. HaHa!

So, nothing going on here to yack about. I'm listening to Sadie read The Feet Book to me. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that she can read now. Will make my homework helping go a bit quicker. She is counting the feet on each page. She is my most conscientious homework do-er. Love her!

What's new in your world?
Wendy-news on the pregnancy front?
Mom-Way cool about possibly having the business sold again. Hopefully, this time it will 'take'. I know it's hard to let it go and possibly fail, but you probably are going to have to just let it go. I'm wondering if it's all right if we come down when the kids have spring break Apr 16-20? They were asking when we could head down again and that's probably going to be the best time for us to come, so we can stay more than 24 hours.
Karla-get your family well, so we can play when I'm down. Oh, and the kids too.
Stacy-don't know if you ever read this anymore.....Hope things are going well for you.

Well, better go, Sadie just finished her book. I need to help her find her reading chart and work on a poem she needs to memorize.

Have a great day!

Oh...My...Heck!

Monday, March 26, 2007

I can NOT believe the lack of manners and couth some people have. About 2 hours ago, I was in using the facilities. All of a sudden, I hear Shirley yelling, "Karla!" I didn't say anything. "KARLA!"

So I said, "Uh, just a minute." So she yells back all huffy and cranky, "Well, Mark's on the phone for you." "Could you tell him I'll call him back in a minute?"

Oh my heck!! Why in the hell would you yell through the bathroom door for a coworker to come to the phone. Obviously, they're detained for a minute--Sheesh!! I swear, the longer she's here, the thicker the res gets!!

It looks like someone has a case of the Mondays!

Blech! I don't want to be at work today. Allie is still home sick. She's probably missed 15 days this past 6 weeks or so. Jim took the day off to stay home with the kids. That was nice. He has a lot more sick leave than I do, so I really appreciate his willingness to do that.

Nothing new going on in my life. Just same ole boring stuff. I wish I had something to write about, but I don't. Jim's been busy at work with warrents and drug task force stuff. It is so sad what people will give up for meth. I bet more than 75% of the crud he deals with somehow stems from meth use. Either the actual drug charges, or theft to get money to buy drugs, or abuse of children because you're stoned or whatever. It's the most insideous stuff around. It's so sad.

Well, I better get back to work. I have a ton of piles to take care of, as usual. Take care. Love you all!

Friday night

Friday, March 23, 2007

It it now half-time of the Jazz game, and they are not doing too good. Dad has been busy working on the fence line around the property. We called a company tonight about putting the fence around the property. He also fixed the road into Ben and Wendy's space and cleaned off their place a little. He is sound asleep now. I worked all day alone, well actually, not quite alone. About 3 o'clock Angie McArthur came to start learning how to do things. They want to buy the business and they want to get at it right away. I have been adding things together and I need to get some financial papers for them to spec out. Angie and Tim lived up by Paul and Michelle for awhile, then went back to St. George, but missed the area, so they came back and bought Dee and Gary Torres' home. She is one of my visiting teachers. They have four children, 11 - 2. It will be a little tough for the first while, with their little kids, but he plans to work at it full time and have her work for a few hours after the older girl gets home from school. They may find that they have to hire someone a few hours aday or a babysitter. I have really tried to make them understand that it is hard with little kids, but they feel like now is the time. They talked to me one day and the very next day came in and said they qualified for the money. They are really pushing it. I told them to come and help for a few days to see if they like it. We'll see what goes. I just have to sell it and then let it go. Easier said than done.

I think I might need to get some fertilizer on my lawn tomorrow, as we may get a smattering of moisture. So far it hasn't done anything.

I have sewed out three really cute easter baskets. I may do a few more tomorrow. they take about 3 hours to do, but they are fun.

Well, do you think it would help the Jazz if I would sit on the couch and watch. We are still 21 points behind. Yuck!

Kassie, We'll reserve a ticket for Curtis. If no one down here wants the other one, Curtis can bring someone with him. We'll see what goes. Love, mom

Picnic Tickets

Wednesday, March 21, 2007

Hey Mom, do you still have the tickets available for the GWC picnic???? Curtis is definitely coming, but I can't. It's Teacher Appreciation week at school and I'm in charge of Ford's class doing things all week for their teacher. I really wanted to go, but I have already committed myself to this. But Curtis will come!! I have been reading the Thomas Jefferson Education book that you gave us and I am really impressed with DeMille. He has good insight and ideas that really make sense to me.

Karla, sorry you've still got the sickies at your house too. Must be that time of the year, the changing of the seasons. It's a bit cloudy and windy here today too. It's good that Justin has Jim to support him. Sorry he's going through such difficulties. You just never know when or where or how the trials will come, only that they will.

I'm off to do my last day of helping in Kindergarten. I just don't have a baby-sitter available anymore, now that Nicole is due in 3 weeks and Shaunna got a job and C is heading into his busy season. Hope they can find someone to take my spot. Better run or I'll be late. Cya!

**Oh, Yeah-isn't it great that Rocky ISN'T running for mayor again? I know he'll pop up somewhere but hopefully he won't think he can represent the whole of the state of Utah again, (even though he has never had a position to do that anyway). He really embarrasses me!

Still sick here, too!

Kassie, so sorry you've all been so sick. I thought we were over it, too, but Allie has caught some viral cough thing and just coughs constantly. I took her to the dr. yesterday and he said it's been going around a lot. He says he's seen probably 300 cases in the last 6 weeks or so.

Well, the weekend was so nice. Jim and the kids and I went to Montezuma and helped the Tracy's brand cows. That was a fun day to just hang out and be with friends and family. Justin has been here the past few days. He & Jim went out prairie dog hunting yesterday. Had a good time. He's such a great kid--I just feel so bad for him right now. Don't know what will happen there, but I know whatever happens, he'll come out of it ok. He always has such a positive outlook on things.

Stacy, what do you want me to do with Kennedy's shoes? Wendy says she's coming up there next Tuesday. I can send them with her, or I can mail them. Let me know.

Well, it's very windy and cold today. Quite a bummer after the beautiful spring weather we've been having. I hope it blows in a storm. It looks cloudy and threatening but if it's typical Monticello weather, it'll just be wind.

Got a kick out of the O'Reilly Factory last night. Bill had Mayor Ross (Rocky) Anderson on and they got into a huge insult match. Bill called him kooky and crazy. It was awesome!! I hate Anderson. How a man that extremely liberal ever got elected in one of the most Republican states in the nation is beyond me, but I hope he doesn't get reelected again. I guess my problem with him is, is that he thinks he's the mayor for all of Utah, and acts like he is. Uh, just SLC Ross, leave the rest of us out of it!!

Well, I have to get back to the piles on my desk--love you all!

Yeah...........

So I lied about us all being well. C came home from work yesterday and threw up and I started at midnight. So we were pretty much useless today. Whichever of us was awake and okay to drive did the school runs today. Ugh! C found out that everyone in his office was sick so they think they all had food poisoning (they ate lunch together) but that doesn't explain mine. Luckily I only barfed til 3:30 so it wasn't as horrible as it's been before.

Thanks for the recipes Mom! We made some hard tack and it's already gone.

Well, nothing great going on to report about, and I'm tired, so I'm headed to bed. Love to you all!
