Way to go MOM!!!

I love you!

Ain't He Cute!!

Monday, June 29, 2009

This is our new family member, Indy. He's cute.

Oh, and I love the fact that I only have one mortgage now. It is so nice. There is a big framed picture of the Jordan River temple I was going to buy after we got some $$. So, I went to deseretbook.com today and was going to order it. It said "free shipping" but then the "large or irregular item surcharge" was $55. Killjoys. I'm gonna have to wait until I make it up to happy valley for something else. I am not paying $55 for a surcharge. Call it what it is!! Shipping!! Free shipping misleading ads. GRRRRR

The Devil Made Me Do It

Wednesday, June 24, 2009

Yup, had to put the John Deere background on, just for a while.

I'm FREE!!!!!! I only own one house now. Sooo Schaweet!!

Now on to the crazy stuff. Have to have an ultrasound tomorrow to figure out what's going on with my insides. They're not working right. And due to the DES cancer link, I think I'm going to campain for a removal. Now my only hope is that my uterus weighs 35-40 pounds. That'd help a bunch!!

Love you all!

Finally!!

I'm leaving the office in about 10 minutes to go close the paperwork on the old house!!! WOOHOO!!!! I'm gonna throw a party!

WOOHOO!!!!

We got a signed contract to sell our house yesterday!!! We're not getting as much as we had hoped, but we're not losing anything, either. We'll finally be done with it! This is such a relief. Last night Jim & I went on our weekly "date". We walk the trash can out to the road together each Tuesday night and talk and hold hands and stuff.

As we walked back and turned the corner and could see our house, we both just stopped and looked at how pretty it was in the night with it's lights glowing.

I asked him, "Does it feel different to you, too?"

"Yep, it finally feels like it's ours. Without worrying everytime you drive in if you're going to end up losing it."

We couldn't be happier.

Can't wait to see you all this weekend!
Love ya!

Ane Martine

Monday, April 13, 2009

I'm posting for my technologically challenged sister. She wanted to post some pictures of her beautiful new baby, but wasn't sure she remembered how. She also wanted to wash the cover on her baby swing and had to have my help to get it off, too.

But, I digress--Ane Martine Crane arrived April 10, 2009 at 9:35 pm weighing in at 6 pounds 3 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long. She's beautiful--Mom & baby are doing great.

First we have Dr. Black--It was a madhouse!
Then we have "Dr. Crane"
Here she is!!

Here she is getting footprinted.

She was wide awake and curious as she could be.
Here is Grandma and Ane.
Figuring out what the tongue thing is.
Ben and his girls.
Congrats!! You did good, Wendy!! I love you.

I love you Mom!

I just want you to know that I love you. My mind keeps racing back and forth with the "what-ifs" and the "NO-WAYS"! I am so greatfull for the the testimony you have taught me throughout my life..having an understanding of Heavenly Fathers plan brings so much peace and comfort in these times. However, I am so scared to see you in any pain or discomfort. I can't imagine anything slowing you down! You are so amazing and I will put up a good fight to keep you here longer..I hope you will put up the same fight! Seeing what you can accomplish here its no wonder Heavenly Father would threaten to use your talents "up there"! Be strong like I know you are and know that I love you with all my heart!

And In This Corner!!

Saturday, February 28, 2009

Peyton had a wrestling match in Blanding on Thursday. I wasn't expecting much because he'd only had one practice so far and when he wrestled 2 years ago, he didn't do so good.

Here's Peyton before he realizes I'm taking pictures...

Here's Peyton after he notices me....

First up--Clayton Young. The son of Tim & Sidney. Here's how it unfolded. Peyton is in the t-shirt & red shorts. Clayton is in the girls' swimming suit. The ref lines them up..

He did really well. He even looked like he knew what he was doing.

Right up until he started choking Clayton down...

I think Peyton was having a good time--not so sure about Clayton.

I think he even had him pinned but the ref wouldn't call it.

But he smiled through it all--who wouldn't when you're winning.

And the final score was....

Then his next match was a kid from Whitehorse. Good thing I got the camera out early. I only had time for about 3 pictures--probably a good thing because sports gym pictures are horrible to take and look crappy no matter what you do.

They lined up and got ready.

Within about 10 seconds this is what it looked like...

Peyton pinned him in about 15 seconds. He was so excited. Here's the shot of the victorious hand raising (note to self..position yourself better. Lousy angle!)

So that was it for our fun exciting evening of wrestling. Nothing else new & exciting here. Love you!

:::Sigh:::

Guess what we had for dinner?? I'll give you a tip I bet you didn't know. If you want fluffy scrambled eggs, add about 1/2 tablespoon of water per egg and mix. Water, not milk. I know, sounds weird, but trust me on this one.

Monday, February 23, 2009

Karla, I love your pictures. I think we should have a huge egg throwing contest or something like that! Actually, I think I should call all these people in Bluff and see if they want some eggs. I have been busy painting in the main living room, I wish I knew how to do pictures so I could put one on the blog. The rooms look really nice and clean!
I haven't much to write about, except to say that I remembered my new password, so now I can add a note or two.
Love to each of you. Mom

One Hundred and Fifty One

That's how many eggs I have at my house right now. 151. What the heck does a family of four do with 151 eggs??? I'm taking Allie around the neighborhood to see if anyone wants an omlet or something.

Just Because

I think this picture is cool.

Yowser!

Satellite of this afternoon--we're getting so much snow right now!

What I love!

Friday, February 06, 2009

....the fact that every time I check this blog out and I look at the widgets, the coldest temp is here in Provo. How is that? I'm really beginning to doubt whether Monticello is as cold as I remember it!!

Oh, I'm sure this will change in summer when we get up over 100 and Monticello does not. But it sure seems strange to see that Monticello is warmer than Provo every time I look at the widgets.

False Alarm!!

Thursday, February 05, 2009

It was all a false alarm. I misunderstood what antibody the dr. said I tested positive for....it was a random antibody that he didn't even know what was. When he spoke to the lab about it and asked what the implications were, he was told by the nice Indian(from India) tech that is was not clinically relevant. So he asked why they test for that antibody and he was told "because we can!" (rolling eyes here, that's the excuse my kids use all the time).
So there is nothing to worry about with this pregnancy or any other. Whew!!

What it means (I think)

Friday, January 23, 2009

Karla, to answer your question as best I can, this is what I know.

My body will (probably already has) start producing antibodies that will cross over the placenta and start destroying the baby's red blood cells if the baby is RH+. At this point of this pregnancy I won't produce enough antibodies to do much of anything. It seems to be a cumulative type of thing, where each successive pregnancy gets worse.

There are treatments and therapies they can do to minimize the damage. A lady on a Pregnancy board shared with me some of what it's like. She's having her 3rd baby following sensitization. They monitor the blood flow to the baby's brain with Ultrasound. If it is high then they monitor it weekly. If it's still high, and depending on the gestational age of the baby, they will do one of a couple of things. If the baby is still too young, they will do a blood transfusion into the umbilical cord (done like an amniocentesis). If the baby is close to term, they will do amnio to determine the lung maturity and deliver the baby ASAP by C-section. Babies sometimes need to have a blood exchange after birth and often spend time in NICU for jaundice.

Sound fun???

I just wish I knew why Rhogam failed this time. As I looked at the list of possible ways our blood supplies could have mixed, I didn't have any of them. I guess I'm in the 2% where it just happens with no explanation.

So, long answer to question, this baby will be fine. Not sure what would happen to the next one if there was to be one. Lots of soul searching for me in the future.

Thanks for the concern. The ironic part is that I've always told my Doc that I wish he could give me a medical reason to be done, it would be so much easier to have that decision made for me. And now I pretty much have a medical reason and I'm sad about it. Fickle female.
Wow!!! I am finally back on. Thank you Karla for helping me with these technical things that I do not understand. Can you come down and make my computer talk to my printer. Everything is there, but it doesn't speak the same language, I guess.

We have had some rain here today. The sun is shining right now. We have seen robins and the doves are fixing their old nest, so spring must be coming soon. we have cheat grass growing, so things are starting to look green. CRAZY

We will be coming up north as far as Provo next wed. or thurs. to pick up some dining room sets which we bought off KSL classified. We are getting one in Highland, Lyle is picking one up on Pleasant Grove for us and the other one is in Salem. Each one was $250 or less. Two of the sets have 6 chairs and one has 4.

Kassie I will bring the machine up then but probably won't have time to help with the embroidery part, but the rest Cambria could use anyway. Do you need the computer also, or do you want to load the program into a computer that you already have? Ben and Wendy have been using the computer at the house a little as they do not have internet at their house.

The HIRF is having a storage container delivered to the property out by the transfer station this afternoon, so we have to hang around today to help with that. Then we will be able to put the handcarts out there and they can start work on the cowboy shed.
A stake in Kingman AZ is renting the handcarts this July for a stake family activity. I can't imagine pulling the handcarts in AZ in July, but I'm not in charge. They are going to pick them up and then bring them back and still pay us $1000.00. I told Graig that that was the way we could work the treks, let them plan and organize their own, and we will rent out the handcarts,. Much easier than doing all the planning and organizing.

Well, I had better get something constructive done today. Vacuuming the floors would be a good idea.

Talk to you later,,Love Mom

Hey!

Thursday, January 22, 2009

Check out my blog for the latest in the pregnancy saga. It's thrown me for a bit of a loop.

Hi Ma!!

Tuesday, January 20, 2009

I don't know why, but I think this picture is funny.

He's Home!!

Wednesday, January 14, 2009

Just updating you all to the fact that Elder Welch is no longer homeless. That's a load off my mind.

Here's a picture of my new curtains in the dining room. I cut them from some old sheets I had and dyed them yellow. For a DIY project they work fine and I kindof like them.

Hope you're all having a good week.
Kas

I Have Internets!

Sunday, January 04, 2009

I finally have internet at home again, so here's some pictures of the kidlets after the Christmas 2008 Storm-a-Thon. And an adorable shot of Tilly & Laila.
